LONGEVITY MEDICINE in Toronto
Biomarkers, Healthspan & Healthy Aging
take a proactive approach to your health by utilizing thorough health assessments, advanced biomarker testing, and a data-driven personalized treatment strategy to optimize your just your health through all stages of life.
Your health deserves more than waiting for something to go wrong.
Longevity is about more than adding years to your life.
It's about preserving your health, strength, energy, cognitive function and independence throughout those years. And what many don't realize is that the trajectory of your health depends on the decisions you make now (even in your 20s and 30s).

Longevity is my favourite area of healthcare because it represents what I believe medicine should do more of: focus on prevention, not just treatment.

Traditional healthcare is often designed to identify and treat disease once it becomes apparent. My approach to longevity is different. Rather than waiting for symptoms, abnormal results or a diagnosis to signal that something needs attention, we look proactively at the factors that influence how you are likely to age—and identify opportunities to optimize them earlier.
This starts with understanding the whole picture of your health. Through a comprehensive assessment and targeted biomarker testing, I look beyond isolated lab values to evaluate the systems that shape long-term health, including metabolic function, cardiovascular risk, muscle mass and strength, hormonal health, nutrition, sleep, inflammation, mitochondrial health and body composition.
The goal isn't to test everything or chase every new "anti-aging" intervention. It’s to determine what matters most for you, identify where there is room for improvement, and build a personalized strategy based on the best available evidence and your individual goals.
The traditional approach is often reactive. Your health doesn’t have to be.
Longevity care is about understanding where you are today—and taking intentional steps to influence where your health is headed tomorrow.
WHAT IS LONGEVITY MEDICINE?
There is no one single protocol for everyone,
but areas of focus include:
TOPICS OF FOCUS

Metabolic Health
Metabolic health is one of the strongest foundations of healthy aging. Evaluation looks beyond fasting glucose alone to understand how effectively your body regulates blood sugar and responds to insulin. Depending on your individual risk factors, assessment may include HbA1c, fasting insulin, insulin glucose challenge, lipid markers, liver health, body composition, alongside a review of your nutrition, exercise and family history.
The goal is to identify early metabolic changes and opportunities to improve insulin sensitivity, body composition and long-term metabolic resilience.
Muscle & Physical Health
Muscle mass and strength are increasingly recognized as important components of healthy aging, particularly for women approaching and moving through perimenopause.
Evaluation may include body composition, strength and exercise habits, protein intake, recovery, physical factors that may contribute to age-related muscle loss. Personalized recommendations will focus on training goals, adequate protein and nutrition, recovery and other strategies designed to preserve or build muscle and physical function over time and through all stages of life.

Mitochondrial Health
Mitochondria are responsible for producing the energy required by virtually every cell in your body, making cellular energy production an important consideration in healthy aging.
Organic acid test (OAT) measures specific metabolic waste products in your urine to evaluate how well your mitochondria produce cellular energy, and where appropriate, targeted laboratory testing and nutritional assessment can help identify areas that may benefit from intervention.
Clinical evaluation looks at the factors that influence mitochondrial function, including metabolic health, exercise capacity, nutrition, nutrient status, sleep, stress, inflammation and overall lifestyle.
Inflammation & Cellular Defence
As we age, maintaining the body's ability to manage oxidative stress and support cellular repair becomes increasingly important. Two key molecules involved in these processes are NAD+ and glutathione.
Strategic blood work and evaluation looks at factors that influence these systems, including metabolic health, oxidative stress, sleep, alcohol intake, nutrition and exercise, and well as environmental exposures. Where clinically appropriate, nutritional and supplemental strategies may be used to support antioxidant capacity and cellular resilience. The focus is not simply on adding antioxidant supplements, but on strengthening the underlying systems that help your body maintain cellular health as you age.

HOW IT WORKS
Most healthcare is designed to address problems once they appear.
Longevity-focused care takes a different approach.
This is how it works:
Step 1: COMPREHENSIVE ASSESSMENT
We begin by looking at your health history, current concerns, lifestyle, family history, medications, nutrition, exercise, sleep and long-term health goals.
Step 2: IDENTIFY YOUR PRIORITIES
Rather than testing everything, we determine which areas are most relevant to your individual risk profile and goals.
Step 3: TARGETED TESTING
Based on your health goals, medical history and lifestyle risk factors, we'll determine a personalized list of biomarkers to give us data driven benchmarks for your current state of health & a tool for monitoring change.
Individualized diagnostics may include:
- Comprehensive Thyroid Testing
- Comprehensive Stool Analysis (GI-MAP & GI 360)
- Organic Acid testing
- RBC Glutathione Levels
Step 4: PERSONALIZED STRATEGY
Your results are used to develop a data-driven, personalized plan addressing the areas most likely to influence your health trajectory.
This may include nutrition, exercise, sleep, lifestyle changes, targeted supplementation + coordination with other healthcare providers when appropriate.
Step 5: PERSONALIZED STRATEGY
Longevity isn't a one-time intervention.
Your health changes over time.
We can use repeat assessments and relevant biomarkers to determine what is working and where your strategy should evolve.
